Update Monday: Seattle Fire Department has updated its online interactive map of dumpster fires in the Ballard, Phinney Ridge, Greenwood and Magnolia neighborhoods.
Sunday: The Seattle Fire Department is investigating a series of dumpster fires that appeared to have been intentionally set in Ballard over the last few weeks. Now, two dumpster fires have occurred in our neighborhood since Saturday night.
At 6:20 p.m. Saturday, fire crews responded to a dumpster fire at 301 NW 85th St., at Taqueria Tequila and Stacia’s Pizza.
Then today at 2:26 p.m., fire crews responded to a fire in the dumpster outside Red Mill Burgers at 312 N. 67th St.
Our friends at MyBallard were nearby and shot this photo just after the fire was extinguished.
