KBFG community radio station now broadcasting from Phinney Ridge

by | Dec 6, 2017

KBFG, a new, non-profit, low-powered radio station with a radius of about three miles, is now broadcasting from the top of the Norse Home in Phinney Ridge.

The call letters for the communication station at 107.3 FM stand for Ballard/Fremont/Greenwood.

Listeners can also stream the broadcast from KBFG’s website anytime. They’re still adding new programs, which vary from live and recorded music, interviews, talk shows ranging from climate to politics, to spoken word and more. They’re still looking for a permanent studio location.

KBFG is having a party this Sunday in Ballard to introduce its volunteers to the community. The party is from 2-6 p.m. at Peddler Brewing, 1514 NW Leary Way. They’ll have the Cycle Dogs food truck, live music, and a live broadcast. It’s an all-ages event with no cover charge.
