Greenwood Elementary School fifth-grader Josie Droz started her own toy drive at school to collect donations for Fire Station 21’s Toys for Tots drive.

Her dad, Ken, says she came up with the idea one night, wrote up a presentation for her class, and everyone was very supportive. She even sewed her own Santa bag to collect presents by going from classroom to classroom at the end of each day for a week.

Today, she delivered a carload of toys to the station.

You may remember Josie from her efforts over the last few years to collect money to build wells in Africa. Her first well was dedicated in Ghana last year, and her dad says she’s about halfway to fundraising for her second well.

Way to go, Josie!
