85th Street in Greenwood back open after car hit building and caused gas leak

by | Dec 23, 2017

A car hit a building at North 85th Street and Evanston Avenue this afternoon, and Seattle Fire Department crews evacuated the immediate area because of a natural gas leak.
Our sister site, MyBallard, shared a photo of the scene taken from a video from a My Ballard reader, who happened to be nearby.

Traffic was rerouted off 85th for about two hours, but the road is now back open.
