Flying Bike Coop Brewery hosting fundraiser for G&O Family Cyclery on Thursday

by | May 2, 2016

Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, 8570 Greenwood Ave. N., and Cascade Bicycle Club are hosting a fundraiser for G&O Family Cyclery, which was heavily damaged in the March 9 natural gas explosion and has temporarily moved a block north, to 8554-1/2 Greenwood Ave.

The fundraiser is from 3-10 p.m. on Thursday, May 5. One dollar from every pint, schooner and growler sold will support G&O’s rebuilding efforts. G&O Family Cyclery is trying to find a new permanent location in the neighborhood.

“We want the new shop to be a place that reflects the love and support that we’ve felt since this happened. We never want to take that for granted,” G&O co-owner Davey Oil said in a prepared statement. “It’s a very touching thing for Flying Bike and Cascade to give over this spotlight to us. We really appreciate it and can’t wait to party with everyone at the fundraiser.”

You can still donate directly to G&O through their GoFundMe account.
