designerSkin Studios opening at 65th & Phinney in March, offering vegan and gluten free skincare products

by | Feb 23, 2016

designerSkin Studios is hoping for a mid-March opening at 6421 Phinney Ave. N. (where Le Merde used to be before moving to 7315 Greenwood Ave. N.)

Owner and esthetician Ashli Danielle lives in Ballard and has been a makeup artist and hairstylist for 11 years. She received her esthetics training at the Aveda Institute, which encouraged her love for more natural skincare products, which is why designerSkin Studios will use only organic, vegan and gluten-free products. It also will offer organic sugaring for hair-removal.

She said cosmetics and skincare products often use wheat products as a binding agent, and people with allergies to gluten can develop cystic acne on their face, and gluten can exacerbate or trigger eczema and some forms of dermatitis.

She’s hoping to open the first or second week of March. The Website is not up yet.
