The 3rd annual Northwest Seattle Seed Swap is from 1:30-4 p.m. this Saturday at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the Brick Building. It’s sponsored by the King County Seed Lending Library.

Participants can share seeds from their edible garden and pick up seeds from others, browse an information table with lots of books and catalogs, and tables by various organizations.
Workshops:
- 2:30 p.m. — Basics of Seed Saving and Storage, Bill Thorness, author of “Cool Season Gardener” and “Edible Heirlooms.”
- 3 p.m. — Plant Are Parents Too: The Botany of Pollination and Seed Formation, Caitlin Moore, owner, Root & Radicle Seed Co.
- 3:30 p.m. — Basic Garden Planning for Small Spaces, Katie Stemp, Founder, Seattle Farm School
