The 2nd annual GloCone and Monkey Lighting begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at the old air raid tower at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, at the corner of North 67th Street and Phinney Avenue North.
The GloCone was installed today. Here’s Mike Veitenhans helping to install the pieces.
The tower also will have several LED metal-framed monkeys, part of the troop of more than 200 monkeys hanging in the windows of neighborhood businesses, as part of the PNA Business Group’s holiday marketing campaign, which ties in to Woodland Park Zoo’s WildLights.
Saturday’s lighting ceremony will include carols, free refreshments, and one child will be chosen from the crowd to “throw the switch” to turn on the GloCone and LED monkey lights.
