Both are a series of 3 classes, either on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings, and the Friday class includes art for kids, so moms can bring their children and everyone can have fun! That street will be closed to other traffic from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Metro buses will be rerouted. The Greenwood Senior Center will have a pancake breakfast at 525 N. 85th St from 7-11 a.m. (All proceeds supports the GSC’s programs.)

District 5 City Council candidate David Toledo will host another “Cartooning with the Candidate” event from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Broadview Library, 12755 Greenwood Ave. N.

The event will feature a town-hall setting where I will answer questions on the District 5 City Council race while simultaneously producing original cartoonist artwork. Children are welcome and will receive free coloring books and art supplies to keep them engaged during the event. Parents will enjoy free snacks and beverages as they get to know more about my ideas for affordable housing, transportation, job growth, educational equity, and cleaning up Green Lake.
