by | Jan 9, 2015

The Phinney Neighborhood Center is hosting a workshop for the Department of Neighborhoods Small and Simple Projects Fund, which awards up to $25,000 for a community project. Projects must provide a public benefit and be free and open to all members of the public (i.e., a park or a one-time cultural event); have a demonstrated community match; and be planned and implemented by neighbors and community members who will be impacted by the project.

The workshop is from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in Room 3.

The Small and Simple Projects Fund is open to:

  • Neighborhood-based groups, community-based organizations, ad-hoc groups and business groups (such as chambers of commerce) who want to do a project to build stronger connections in their neighborhood.
  • Community groups that do not have a geographic base, such as a racial or ethnic group, GLBT groups, a disability community, etc.

To request childcare or interpretation services, contact us at least 3 days prior to your preferred workshop. Please RSVP by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NMFWorkshop
