Kids gear sale, farmers market, Bite of Broadview in Greenwood-Phinney this weekend

Here are a few highlights of weekend events in Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. Check our Events calendar any time for more.

Storytelling with Steph at Phinney Books, 7405 Greenwood Ave. N., from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday.

Phinney Farmers Market from 3-7 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.

Ballard Preschool Co-op is hosting its annual Gently Used Kids Gear Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, in the Brick Building. Load up on gently used clothes in newborn to size 8, shoes, toys and gear, like pack-and-plays, cribs, car seats, strollers and maternity wear. Bring your own bag. Strollers won’t fit inside the sale and must be parked outside. All proceeds benefit the Ballard Preschool Co-op.

Seattle Folklore Society presents Anne & Pete Sibley at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Center. Cost is $16 general, $14 SFS/PNA members and seniors; kids half price.

Less than a decade since they released their first album, the Sibleys’ music hit the national spotlight in 2009 with a blue ribbon finish in the “Great American Duet Sing Off” on National Public Radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion.” They continue to tour around the country with their two young children, performing concerts and teaching workshops, and are often heard sharing their life experience that: “People are good.”

The Bite of Broadview is Friday through Sunday at Christ the King Catholic Church, 405 N. 117th St. The festival is open from 4-10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents Professor Fred’s Movie Marvels — The Invisible Ghost starring Bela Lugosi at 7:30 p.m. Friday; Little Sara and the Night Owls in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and Open Jazz Jam with Kenny Mandell from 2-4:15 p.m. Sunday (all levels welcome).

Evan’s Family Variety Show from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.

Acoustic Sundays Open Mic at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Tim’s Tavern, 602 N. 105th St.
