Blood drive at Phinney Center on Monday

by | Apr 22, 2013

Puget Sound Blood Center is holding a blood drive at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., from 1-7 p.m. Monday (closed 3-4 p.m.) in the Blue Building’s Room 5. You can reserve a donation time by calling 1-800-398-7888 or emailing [email protected]. Walk-ins are welcome, too.

From PSBC:

Did you know? One in 10 people entering a hospital needs blood. Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion. One single donation only takes an hour and saves three lives.

The need for blood is constant and it’s up to new and veteran blood donors to give regularly to ensure there is a sustainable supply on hand for emergencies, traumas, planned surgeries, chemotherapy treatments, and more.psbc.org.
