Here’s a roundup of neighborhood news and holiday happenings.

Olive Beauty Lounge is now open at 701 NW 70th St., where NW Community Yoga used to be, next to The Barking Dog restaurant.

S Spa Seattle recently reopened at 8013 Greenwood Ave. N. S Spa was briefly located inside Sugarcomb Salon at 73rd and Linden before moving into its own space.

Take 5 Urban Market at 6757 8th Ave. NW was recognized by Food & Wine’s website as having one of America’s 25 best cupcakes – its carrot cupcake with cream cheese frosting.

Greenwood graphic designer and illustrator Frida Clements and musician Tomo Nakayama are hosting a “Deck The Walls! Screen-printed rock poster show” from 7-11 p.m. Friday at 112 Printworks, 112 N. 36th St., in Fremont. The all-ages show is free and open to the public.

Arc School of Ballet presents a family-friendly “Nutcracker Sweets” from Dec. 7-9 at the ARC Dance Space, 9250 14th Ave. NW (in the former Crown Hill School). The one-hour show is specifically designed for younger audiences.
Tickets are $10 for children 10 years and younger, and $15 for adults, and are available in person at ARC Dance, or by calling 206-352-0798.

North Seattle French School is hosting a K-1 open house from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Teacher Erin will conduct an hour’s activity entirely in French (but will speak English if your child does not speak French).
