The last Phinney Farmers Market of the season is from 3-7 p.m. Friday in the lower parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Some vendors may have bulk deals, so think ahead to what you can can or put away for holiday gifts.
Debra Cowan performs a Pacific NW Folklore Society Coffeehouse Concert at 7:30 p.. Friday at Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N. On Saturday, Couth Buzzard presents Songwriters in Seattle, with CDK OpenMic, Jaspar Lepak, Cris Faget & Jillian Graham, and Roo Forrest & the Few.
Taproot Theatre continues its run of the mystery “Gaudy Night,” which has already been extended until Oct. 27.
“Son of Reptile Man” at Ridge Romp at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6615 Dayton Ave. N., in the Brick Building, at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Saturday at Green Lake is the annual Walk & Roll, hosted by the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Washington and Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, to support quality of life programs for people with spinal cord injuries. Walk & Roll is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Register online.
Wahid plays in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at Empty Sea Studios. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Wahid features three-time Grammy nominee Chris Wabich on frame drums and multi-instrumentalist and composer Dimitris Mahlis on oud.
Dan Newton (aka “Daddy Squeeze“) from Minneapolis performs a Seattle Folklore Society concert of French cafe accordion, Zydeco, blues and more at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6615 Dayton Ave. N., in the Brick Building. Newton is a frequent “Prairie Home Companion” guest. Admission is $15 general, $13 for SFS & PNA members, students & seniors, and $7 for children. The Voice of Joy Gospel Choir from Norway performs at Rock of Ages Lutheran Brethren Church, 316 N. 70th St., at 7 p.m. Saturday.
