34-second video helps you solve the Gumshoe scavenger hunt

by | Aug 9, 2012

The annual Gumshoe neighborhood scavenger hunt is in full swing and we’ve seen lots of people strolling around Phinney Ridge and Greenwood, looking for clues.

Gumshoe organizer Mike Veitenhans sent us this 34-second video which will help sleuths solve the 30 clues. (Just don’t blink!)

The Gumshoe takes participants on an approximately 5K loop through the neighborhood. Entry forms are $20 (or buy two for $15 each). All proceeds go to the Greenwood Senior Center, Greenwood Elementary School PTA and Greenwood Food Bank. (Last year’s Gumshoe raised $4,800.)

First prize for winning the overall walk is a $250 Fred Meyer gift card, followed by $150 for second and $100 for third. Fourth place receives a free breakfast at Mae’s Café as well as a day at the Woodland Park Zoo for two adults and two children, and fifth place walks away with a free dinner at The Olive and Grape restaurant, paired with tickets for two at Taproot Theatre.

Entry forms are on sale at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, Starbucks on Phinney, Ken’s Market, and Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Cafe. And Greenwood Food Bank volunteers will also be selling entry forms at the Canned Food Pyramid in Ken’s Market parking lot during Friday’s Summer Streets event.

(Disclosure: The Gumshoe is a PhinneyWood sponsor.)
