Greenwood Seafair Parade is tonight – don’t be alarmed by all the loud booms

by | Jul 25, 2012

Don’t forget that the Greenwood Seafair Parade is tonight, starting at about 6 p.m. More than 100 entries of drill teams, bands, floats, classic cars and unicycling elementary students will entertain a crowd of many thousands. And the Seafair Pirates will be bringing up the rear as usual, scaring little kids and pets with their extremely loud cannon booms!
The parade starts at Greenwood Avenue and North 95th Street and heads south, then turns right on 85th Street and ends at 6th Avenue NW.
Come early for the pony rides in the parking lot of the Green Bean Coffeehouse, 8533 Greenwood Ave. N. Pony rides begin at 10 a.m. and last all day.
Metro bus routes 5, 48 and 355 will be rerouted between about 4-8:30 p.m. tonight. Route 5’s reroute details are here; route 48 details are here; and route 355 info is here.
