Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Café, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents Jazz First Fridays with Kenny Mandell and Don Berman at 7:30 p.m. Friday; and Songwriters in Seattle Monthly Showcase featuring Mosa Baczewska, Bill Derry, Casey Garland, Steve Church at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Both shows are free, with a pass of the hat; food and drink available for purchase (including beer and wine).
Montessori Garden, 6615 Dayton Ave. N., is hosting a preschool open house at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Ridge Romp is back at the Phinney Neighborhood Association at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Tim Noah and Cyndi Soup. Cost is $3 per person (babies in arms are free). Doors open at 10 a.m.; shows last about 45 minutes.
Join Emmy-winning producer and composer Tim Noah as he journeys with Cyndi Soup and his puppet pals in a delightful show filled with songs, sing-a-longs, puppetry, storytelling, dancing and plenty of audience participation. The Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N., is having a World Languages Story Time in Spanish at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Shop Agora, 6417-A Phinney Ave. N., is having a wine tasting from 1-5 p.m. Saturday. They’ll be sampling two Fair Trade wines from Argentina (a Malbec and a Cabernet Sauvignon), both from the Fairhills project.
