Jason Bolich, a well-known neighborhood graphic designer who created the logos for the monthly Art Up Artwalk posters and the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Capital Campaign, passed away suddenly on Dec. 7, 2010.
His wife, Sonya Kopetz, shared with us Jason’s obituary, which ran in The Seattle Times on Sunday.

Jason lived a very full life. He was a designer, a soccer player, a drummer, a son, a mechanic, a coach, a neighbor, a magician, a hiker, a husband, a dry waller, a dog lover, a traveler, a botanist, an uncle, a tennis player, a carpenter, a brother, a cyclist, a superhero, an electrician, a waffle boy, a skier, an illustrator, a plumber, a dancer, a ping pong champion, a comedian, a kayaker, a painter, an impersonator, a didgeridoo player, a landscaper, a curler, a costume maker, an extreme bocce player and a friend. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to so many people in so many ways.
A celebration of Jason’s extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, January 29 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club, 6413 Seaview Avenue Northwest, Seattle, WA 98107.

Jason Bolich was a memorable contributor to the PhinneyWood community as a designer, business owner, neighbor and friend. He was co-owner, along with his wife, Sonya, of KB Design, a PhinneyWood business of 12 years. Together, they created the printed materials, website and logo for the Phinney Neighborhood Center Capital Campaign, designed the Art Up posters and maps for the monthly art walk and recently completed the new Phinney Neighborhood Association logo and stationery. Jason was always quick to pitch in and assist neighbors with their home improvement projects and Jason and Sonya’s bright orange house is a known gathering spot for the entire neighborhood.
