Greenwood-Phinney hosting events as part of region-wide Arts Crush

by | Oct 6, 2010

Art seems to have a new hold on Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. Several art galleries have opened recently (Art on the Ridge at 8005 Greenwood Ave. N.; Tasty at 7513 Greenwood Ave. N.; Avanti Art & Design at 7317 Greenwood Ave. N.; and a bunch of different studios inside the Greenwood Collective at 8537 Greenwood Ave. N., Suite 1, to name a few).
Many of our neighborhood arts businesses are hosting events in October for the region-wide Arts Crush, a month-long art festival featuring more than 150 arts organizations around Puget Sound. Arts Crush highlights different forms of art each week: week 1 – visual arts; week 2 – music and books; week 3 – theater; week 4 – dance.
A number of neighborhood events are scheduled as part of Friday’s monthly Art Up Artwalk. (We’ll have a separate post on the Artwalk tomorrow.)
Here are Arts Crush events happening in the neighborhood this month. (Keep in mind that the schedule may change, and some events require advance registration.) The Arts Crush website has helpful tabs for family events, freebies, even date nights.
