Seattle Weekly ‘Best Of’ winners announced

by | Aug 5, 2010

Seattle Weekly has announced its Best of Seattle winners. Some were readers’ choice, most were chosen by the magazine. Some of the categories are straightforward, such as best dive bar, but others are a tad more creative.
Leading the way for winners in our neighborhood is Greenwood’s own Mayor Mike McGinn, who won for Best Political Leader for Sheer Entertainment Value.
Mud Bay (multiple locations, including 8532 1st Ave. NW in Greenwood), won for Best Place to Splurge on Your Pet.
Slave to the Needle (two locations, including 508 NW 65th St. in Lower Phinney/East Ballard), won for Best Tattoo Parlor.
And on the line between Phinney and Green Lake, Beth’s Café at 7311 Aurora Ave. N. won for Best After Hours Scene, and Kangaroo and Kiwi at 7305 Aurora Ave. N. won for Best Bar to Meet an Australian Bloke.
