All 57 locations of Bartell Drugs, including 120 N. 85th St. in Greenwood, kicked off their “Stock the Pantry” food drive today.
This two-week food drive helps Northwest Harvest replenish food stocks during summer months–when families that normally depend on free or reduced-price school meals may struggle to provide those meals at home.
Some “kid-friendly” food item suggestions include tuna, instant oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, cheese crackers, applesauce and canned fruit in individual serving sizes.
FAST FACTS:
- Last year 16,767 pounds of food donations were contributed by Bartell customers. This year the goal is 25,000 pounds of food donations.
