2 dead at Aurora motel

Update 2:15 p.m.: SPD spokesman Mark Jamieson says it looks like a murder-suicide, and that the bodies have been there for several days. Jamieson says preliminary indications are that the man killed the woman, then himself. Police recovered a handgun from the room at the Way West Motel.
 
Earlier: Seattle Police and Seattle Fire are at the scene of a motel on Aurora Avenue and North 86th Street where the motel manager found the bodies of a man and a woman in one of the rooms.
SPD spokesperson Renee Witt says that right now it’s simply a death investigation, but that homicide investigators are enroute.
