Greenwood Avenue construction halfway done

by | Sep 11, 2009

Seattle Department of Transportation reports that it is now more than half way done with road work on Greenwood Avenue North from 105th to 112th streets. Next week, road crews move to the east side of Greenwood Avenue.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. During other hours, two lanes will remain open in one direction and one lane in the other. During construction on the east side, the contractor will provide a pedestrian pathway and access to businesses will be maintained.
Crews are removing existing pavement, widening the street, and constructing new sidewalks and driveways. SDOT is also installing new lighting and street trees. The work will take another eight to nine weeks.
