Business specials in honor of car show Saturday

by | Jun 25, 2009

Gainsbourg Lounge at 8550 Greenwood Ave. N. is opening early, at 9 a.m., on Saturday to support the hungry and thirsty Greenwood Car Show crowds.

In anticipation of the crowds and in line with the block party feel of the event, we are serving a streamlined menu that day featuring our French Dog (a jumbo Hebrew National dog served with dijon, Bordeaux grilled onions and cornichon relish, $6), our classic frites ($4), poission and frites (panko and herb coated fish with housemade tarragon rémoulade, $6) and the Gainsbourger (freshly ground mixture of lamb and beef from the Better Meat Company with all the requisite trimmings, $9). We will also be adding poutine ($6). Our regular menu will be available again after 5 p.m.

Gainsbourg also will show some car-themed movies, including Steve McQueen’s “Le Mans”, and classics like Godard’s “Breathless.”
