Website matches gardeners with gardens

by | Apr 13, 2009

KING 5 had a great story this morning on a new website that matches gardeners lacking garden space with people who have plenty of space but not much gardening experience.
Urban Gardenshare lets people post profiles of either their garden space or their gardening experience. It’s then listed by neighborhood. Featured in the story was Phinney Ridge resident James Lucal, who built a beautiful terraced garden, and a neighbor who took a master gardeners course but didn’t have good garden space in her own yard.
Looking at the Urban Gardenshare website this morning, there’s currently one garden space listed in Greenwood, and a number of others in Ballard. And one gardener in Greenwood and another in Phinney are looking for garden space.
