In honor of Washington Wine Month, Picnic food and wine boutique at 6801 Greenwood Ave. N. is offering two wine tasting events this weekend.
Friday’s wine taste is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and features new releases from O’Shea/Scarborough.
Come try the wines of the hottest new winery in Washington State. The 2007 Chardonnay is delicious and a perfect example of the craftiness of this dynamic duo. The remaining lineup depends on what they have left as their wines are selling like hot-cakes!
Saturday’s wine tasting from 3-5 p.m. features Darren Williams of Small Lot Co-Op as he pours though some of the highlights of his catalog from small wineries and wine shops. Wine lovers can taste a Sappolil Cellars library selection – the ultra-rare Tres Amici, from this family winery.
Picnic also has regular Thursday night wine tastes from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All wine tastings are $8, and include nibbles from Picnic’s pantry.
