Go to the Beer Taste to celebrate, commiserate

by | Nov 5, 2008

Now that the election is over and most races are decided, get your tickets for the Phinney Center’s Winter Beer Taste so you can toast or lament how your candidate did.

Judging by the amount of fireworks and neighborhood parties last night, there’ll probably be a few ebullient toasts to President-elect Barack Obama. On the other hand, the mood may be more somber for John Burbank supporters. Burbank, who lives in Phinney Ridge, is trailing Queen Anne resident Reuven Carlyle in the 36th District Legislative race.

Meanwhile, according to Chardelle at the PNA, there are still plenty of tickets, but don’t wait too long, as there tends to be a last-minute rush to be one of the 500 people to enjoy tastes from 26 microbrewers. Better yet, if you didn’t get enough ballot action on Tuesday, you’ll even be able to vote for your favorite brew.
