The Phinney Neighborhood Association is starting a new “PNA Theater” to show free movies to the community on a 14×8 foot movie screen with an HD projector in Community Hall of the Brick Building, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.
The first theater event is a family-friendly movie – “The Muppets” – on Sunday, April 22. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the movie starts at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free (but donations are welcome), and there’s even free popcorn. Movie-goers can bring in their own food and drink.
The next family movie will be at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 6 (doors open at 2:30 p.m.) You can vote online to determine which of three movies will be shown: “Monsters, Inc.” (rated G); “Tangled” (rated PG); or “Toy Story 3” (rated G).
An adult movie night is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) Movie choices to be voted on: “The Godfather” (rated R); “Memento” (rated R); or “The Shawshank Redemption” (rated R).
