PhinneyWood is gearing up to welcome the Year of the Horse with a joyful Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, February 21 from noon to 4 pm at the Phinney Center campus. This free, family-friendly event is hosted by the PNA and brings together culture, community, and creativity for an afternoon that everyone can enjoy. Guests can look forward to two dynamic performances by the LQ Lion Dancers, a bustling artist marketplace highlighting more than twenty local Asian small businesses, a bake sale, paper lantern decorating for a small fee, and delicious bites from the Egg Roll Hut food truck. Additional activities and surprises will fill both Phinney Center buildings throughout the day.
To help make all activities accessible, a shuttle van will run between buildings during the event. Full details including performance times, accessibility notes, and the complete marketplace and activity lineup are available on the PNA’s website. Volunteers are also needed to ensure this community celebration runs smoothly, and high school students seeking service hours are especially encouraged to sign up.
The PNA is grateful to 4Culture for helping make free and reduced-cost access possible for community members this year.
