Lioness hosting “Pancakes For Peace” this Sunday to support Minnesota

by | Jan 30, 2026

Want to make a difference AND enjoy a delicious brunch this Sunday, February 1st? Lioness and friends are producing a Pancake Party for Peace event in the Shared Roof community area at 7009 Greenwood Avenue from 10am – 2pm. There will be fresh pancakes, real maple syrup and whipped cream, and hot Stamp Act Coffee to keep you warm. Bring your friends and come show support. QR codes to donate select organizations will be available.

This effort was created by Chef Renee Erickson, who revealed on Lioness’ Instagram:

To summarize a post from my friend Kenji Lopez Alt (who will be flipping some pancakes with us on Sunday) – “The everyday act of cooking and eating is inseparable from history, power, and identity. The everyday food of the United States from the meals we cook to the restaurants we love, is overwhelmingly immigrant food. Recognizing that, celebrating it, AND protecting the communities that make it possible is not nothing. Food after all, has always been political”

With this generous and resisting spirit in mind we will be flipping pancakes together this Sunday in front of Lioness with the support of our neighbors at Shared Roof to raise some money to support a few organizations in Minneapolis. Please tell your friends and come see us this Sunday if you can. Take care.
