Instructor Robert Friedman has practiced Tai Chi for 45 years and taught classes in Seattle for 10 years. He will be teaching a new session of Tai Chi classes at the Phinney Center on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:45 am, beginning October 22 through December 17 (excluding November 26). Classes will be in Room 2 of the Blue Building at 6532 Phinney Ave N.
These classes will focus on teaching students the fundamentals of the classical Tai Chi set within the context of a 21st century sensibility. It is designed for beginning and experienced students of all ages and physical capabilities. Robert will also provide students with Tai Chi movements they can practice at home in between scheduled classes as they begin to learn the sequence of the Tai Chi set.
Practicing Tai Chi teaches you how to move more naturally and less habitually, thereby improving your balance, posture, strength and flexibility. Through practice, you learn how to cultivate and nurture your physical and mental energy rather than squander it.
Tai Chi is one of the gems of Chinese culture. Although it is exceedingly difficult to master Tai Chi, one does not need to be a master to gain its important benefits.
The tuition for this eight week session of classes is $75. To register, email Robert at [email protected].
