What was once one of Seattle’s rowdiest hockey bars is lacing up for a whole new chapter. The Angry Beaver has reopened under new ownership, trading its dive-bar past for an elevated, family- and pet-friendly neighborhood bistro—complete with a chef-driven menu and creative flair.
Spoiler: we’re going to be doing a feature in the coming weeks on the transformation of the beloved Angry Beaver under its new ownership, from dive-y hockey bar to family- and pet-friendly neighborhood sports bistro.
In the meantime, you are invited to experience their new menu aspirations for yourself, and check out their October 28th Smokey Chef’s Table dinner. Linens and a 6-course meal with wine and cocktail pairings at a sports bar? You bet! Chef Emily Pfaff, who is also the Executive Director of Community Lunch on Capitol Hill, has created an extensive meal where every course has a smoked element. Like all food at the new Angry Beaver, everything is gluten-free and many dietary restrictions can be accommodated up on request.
