A toast to Chardell Paine – celebrating 32 Years of community, laughter, and legendary Beer Taste Events

by | Nov 6, 2024

As we raise our glasses at the 37th Annual PNA Winter Beer Taste this Saturday, we’re also raising them a little higher for someone truly special: Chardell Paine, our cherished friend, colleague, and the driving force behind the PNA Beer Taste tradition. After an incredible 32 years of dedicated service to the PNA, Chardell is retiring—and this Beer Taste will be her grand finale.

Since she helped create our beloved Beer Taste, Chardell’s warmth, humor, and vision have been woven into the heart of this event, making it a cherished gathering for brewers and beer lovers alike. It’s no exaggeration to say that the PNA Beer Taste wouldn’t be what it is today without her.

In a fitting tribute, Georgetown Brewing is bringing back a special brew for this occasion—the Chardell Chocolate Coffee Stout. Named in her honor, this delicious beer has become as much a part of the Beer Taste legacy as Chardell herself. But Georgetown Brewing is just one of 40 amazing breweries and cideries joining us this year, each offering their best pours, seasonal delights, and even exclusive brews crafted just for the event.

This year’s lineup features local legends and fan-favorites from across the Northwest, each serving generous tastes of their craft. With 40 breweries and cideries in attendance, you’ll have a chance to savor a wide variety of flavors—from hoppy IPAs and crisp ciders to rich stouts and smooth ales. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time attendee, the Winter Beer Taste offers something for everyone.

And for those who like to get a head start, VIP ticket holders can arrive an hour early at 6pm for an exclusive tasting hour with delicious bites from the 74th Street Ale House.

Tickets are limited, and with Chardell’s farewell celebration, this year’s Beer Taste is expected to sell out quickly. Don’t wait—buy your tickets today to secure your spot at this unforgettable event.
