Did you know the PNA is working to establish a Business Improvement Area (BIA) for PhinneyWood? A BIA is a proven way to secure dedicated funding for revitalizing and supporting our business district. With this BIA, we can build on our existing efforts and provide even more benefits to the community—more services, more staff, and more resources.
The proposed BIA would cover the Greenwood corridor from the Woodland Park Zoo to 90th street. But we need your help to make this happen.
Why a BIA?
Clean and Welcoming Spaces:
Our top priority is keeping PhinneyWood safe, clean, and welcoming for residents and visitors.
Business Growth and Development:
We’re focused on creating a thriving economy, including initiatives like the upcoming retail study to strengthen local businesses.
Advocacy:
The BIA will represent and advocate for the interests of businesses and property owners in the district.
Public Space Activation:
Imagine an established arts district, street fairs, and other events that make our neighborhood a destination for all.
Marketing and Promotion:
We’ll unify PhinneyWood through placemaking efforts that foster a strong sense of community and belonging.
We’re Almost There—But We Need Your Help!
If you’re a business owner in PhinneyWood, please support the BIA by encouraging your property owner to sign the petition we sent out earlier this summer. If you know a commercial property owner or are a member of a condominium association on Phinney or Greenwood, please encourage them to support this effort. We need 60% of property owners to sign for the BIA to move forward, and the next city council deadline is fast approaching—November 15, 2024.
What Can You Do?
It’s simple:
- Talk to your property owner.
- Share why you support the BIA.
- Encourage them to sign and submit their petition.
If they need an online version of the BIA packet or would prefer to sign via DocuSign, they can fill out this quick form—it takes just 10 seconds!
The Time Is Now!
Every petition counts to reach our goal before the November 15 deadline. Let’s come together to make PhinneyWood a vibrant, thriving neighborhood for years to come.
