Hunger Goblin’ Trick or Treat is this Saturday

by | Oct 22, 2024

This Saturday afternoon is going to fill our Business District with ghouls and goblins for the annual Hunger Goblin’ Trick or Treat! For over 30 years PhinneyWood has hosted a daytime trick or treat the Saturday closest to Halloween. Participating businesses between 67th and 87th on Greenwood will be ready for you from noon-3pm on Saturday, October 26th – look for a “Trick or Treaters Welcome Here” sign.

There are also decorated donation boxes at a dozen businesses throughout the district to collect healthy, non-perishable items to help support FamilyWorks. Please remember to find some unused items in your pantries or make some special purchases at Ken’s Market for this great cause. In 2023, your efforts raised over 1500 pounds of food for those in need!

You can donate non-perishable items to the following businesses between now and November 3rd:

  • Nutty Squirrel Gelato – 7212 Greenwood Ave N
  • The Ladies Room – 8538 1st Ave NW
  • The Seattle Public Library – 8016 Greenwood Ave N
  • Ken’s Market – 7231 Greenwood Ave N
  • Kym’s Kiddy Corner – 6701 Greenwood Ave N
