Last chance to help Mr Gyros re-open in PhinneyWood!

A view towards the front door and roll-up opening at the new location.

After nearly a decade away, Mr Gyros is a step closer to returning to PhinneyWood. Brothers Sammy and Joni Arsheed have been working feverishly to get back to the neighborhood, and their new 8537 Phinney Avenue location is edging towards completion.

However, the 2 years they have spent on the project have been costly and taken them to the edge of their finances. We are asking the PhinneyWood community to help with what you can to get this project across the finish line and bring Mr. Gyros back to Greenwood!

Here is a link to the fundraiser, which has a goal of $15,000. Anything helps, and we’re over halfway there! Please share with others in the community who know and love Mr. Gyros.

Here is an update from Sammy:

While things are moving forward (slowly but surely), we still need a little help to get over the last “steps” or “hurdles” since the process has taken much longer then any of us had imagined. All of our savings and reserves have dried up. So we’re relying on mostly volunteers, from project coordinators to our handymen to get us to the finish line. However additional funds would go towards flooring, appliances, fridges, and sinks. We’re getting there but couldn’t do it without you or our community members and neighbors!
