Fundraising dinner for Ukraine on June 10th at the Polish Home Association

by | Jun 3, 2023

Last month a group of neighborhood bakers organized a pierogi and cake sale for Ukraine. Thanks to community support, the bake sale was very successful, raising $2807 and matched by Google to total $5614 donated to Nova Ukraine to provide medical and humanitarian aid.

Now the same group is holding a dinner fundraiser at the Polish Home Association to specifically raise money for night vision goggles to send to Ukraine. Tickets are $50 per person and the reservation deadline is coming right up: Monday, June 5th.

The event will include appetizers and a fantastic Polish dinner by chef Kamila. There will be silent auction items and desserts to bid on as well as raffle ticket prizes to win. Carl Larson will talk about wonderful efforts of Americans and Poles to support Ukrainian defenders at this critical time, share information from the front line and Washington DC.

Learn more about the event and get tickets here.

Also, Ukraine Defense Support is looking for volunteers who would like to join their non-profit. UDS is very action oriented and committed to getting things done. There are two main goals: helping the Ukrainian frontline and advocating for Ukraine in the US. Meetings are every Thursday, 7pm at European Foods (13520 Aurora Ave N). You can sign up on their website.
