Woodland Park Zoo opens early registration for Summer Camps

by | Jan 17, 2023

Plan for the warmer months in the far future by checking out the lineup of fun and engaging summer camps at Woodland Park Zoo.

The zoo offers a variety of curricular-based camps for campers ages 4 to 13 years old to connect with nature over the summer, learn about their ecological footprint, encounter a diversity of the zoo’s resident wildlife and discover pathways to conservation.

Woodland Park Zoo Camps inspire children to make conservation a priority in their lives by advancing their STEAM skills (problem-solving, communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, building connections to nature, and exploring the animals of our world.

Woodland Park Zoo offers summer camp and occasional school-year break camps. Camp dates follow Seattle Public Schools’ calendar.

Camps are divided into tiers by camper age. Each tier offers developmentally appropriate curricula that support Next Generation Science Standards. Curricula themes are centered around the zoo’s mission to save wildlife and inspire everyone to make conservation a priority in their lives.
