Be the Power of Community for older adults and help support the Greenwood Senior Center

by | Oct 7, 2022

Greenwood Senior Center program participants enjoy a tour of the Museum of Flight.

The Greenwood Senior Center has served this community for over 45 years, connecting thousands of older adults each year with activities, services, and programs. From fitness and wellness classes to delicious and nutritious lunches, our programs create opportunities for people to gather together—both virtually and in person.

The annual Power of Community fundraiser celebrates the cornerstones of our neighborhood’s senior programming. Your support helps us continue to connect people with many vital services! The goal for this year is $60,000 and your help is needed to reach it.

This year, instead of a breakfast or virtual lunch, the power of community is being celebrated with an open house and cocktail hour to toast to the incredible support from our donors (like you) and the successes of the last year.  To help this great effort, please consider making an early gift to the Power of Community and add your name to the list of Community Champions.  Your support will help power programs and services for older adults and families.

Our programs

Our nationally-recognized memory loss program includes support, programs, and activities for people living with memory loss or dementia and their families.

Social Connection Project

The Social Connection Project aims to increase social connection among older adults, spurred by statistics on the negative health impacts of social isolation.

Support Groups & Counseling

Our support groups and individual counseling are available to older adults and their families at low or no cost. Groups like Living Alone and Adult Daughters Caring for Their Mothers are just two of the eight ongoing groups.
