Art in The Garden celebrates 20 years this August

by | Jul 29, 2022

Art in the Garden is back, celebrating 20 years of an all-volunteer community festival on Saturday, August 6th from 10am – 5pm. The Ballard P-Patch, which was saved from development by an impassioned community fundraising effort, will host this annual event at 8527 25th Ave NW.

Two music stages will keep the fun going all day, and the beloved Beer & Brat Garden returns to the patio space. There will be a slew of new and returning artists and makers who will be displaying their wares for sale. Merchandise on offer made by our own gardeners includes succulents, pot holders and tea towels, books of poetry and more.  There will also be a wine grab and bakers selling pies and pastries.

A scavenger hunt for the young and young at heart will be back, as will an artist raffle.  “Bubbles” Shug’s Ice Cream Cart will help satisfy your sweet tooth. You can find details on the artists, musicians, and sponsors on the website.

Art in the Garden is a free, family friendly event, and parking is available in Our Redeemer’s parking lot. Art in the Garden also helps the P-Patch raise funds for garden improvements. This year, they are focusing on raising funds to shore up the SW bank of the plot (currently living under big blue tarps).
