Phinney Ridge Community Council meeting on Tuesday to include Redistricting Commission and 6817 Greenwood development

by | May 2, 2022

The Phinney Ridge Community Council (PRCC) is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization that tracks issues such as public safety, transportation, transit, land use, zoning, city budget priorities, capital improvements, parks, open space use and other civic issues. Here is their agenda for tomorrow’s meeting:

RE-DISTRICTING COMMISSION: It has been 10 years since City Council Districts were formed, and a new evaluation will be made for borders based on the 2020 census. We are in District 6 of the City Council and represented by Dan Strauss. Here is a link to take a look at changes to the Districts boundaries. Pay particular attention to our boundary to the south at Wallingford and to the north by Crown Hill.

6817 GREENWOOD LIVING BUILDING   Separately, being presented is an update to the condos between the Woodland Park Church and the Fini Condos along Greenwood Ave. Living Building is a national program to encourage developers to make their building more environmentally efficient – in this case a 62-foot structure which will be the tallest building on Phinney. The developer has presented before and we will see an update to their proposal.  Here is the link to the project.

SEATTLE POLICE NORTH PRECINCT ADVISORY COUNCIL. Review the meeting notes from the where the new City Attorney’s Office described changing priorities for prosecuting public safety issues.
