Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital to close after 37 years

by | Apr 7, 2022

Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital, located in a craftsman house at 8205 Greenwood Ave N, has announced it will be ceasing operations at the end of May. In a statement mailed to clients and posted on their Facebook page, owner Debra Scheuerman outlines the unfortunate circumstances behind the decision:

“It is with great regret that we must announce the closure of Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital after 37 years serving the greater Greenwood area. Lack of available staffing, due to the pandemic, has made operation of the clinic untenable. It has been a great joy and honor to provide care for the pets in our community, and to be part of the lives of so many amazing people through the years. We will miss you all. Our Last appointments will be May 20th and our last day will be May 27th, 2022. We are committed to transferring your pet’s care as smoothly as possible. If you choose a new facility before we close, please call so records may be transferred. Also, if you need routine refills, please request them, but please make arrangements to transfer care as soon as possible so you don’t run out during the transition. Dr. Henkle will be selecting a position at a different facility: for updates please watch our Facebook page. After May 27th, the clinic voice mail and email will be monitored regularly for requests for transfer of records. We wish you and your pets all the best in the years to come.”
