Aegis Living to open new independent and assisted living facility in Greenwood

by | Mar 3, 2022

Taking on the odd-shaped corner space at 3rd Ave NW and Holman Road that formerly housed a Goodwill drop off site, Aegis Living has transformed it into their newest independent and assisted living facility. Aegis of Greenwood‘s grand opening is set for June 11th, 2022 and they will be moving in their first residents the following week.

Aegis Living was launched in the Pacific Northwest in 1997 and is a family-owned and operated business founded on the notion of redefining the senior living industry. The founder’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and out of that grew their focus on compassionate care for people living with memory loss.

Each Aegis Living has a unique motif, and Aegis Greenwood will be a 1950’s theme: “from our Happy Days Café, to our Rock around the clock record shop, our Miracle Theatre, our Bog and Fen pub, the Duckie’s barber shop, to our Woodlands dining room, and the T-Bird car located on  our second floor outdoor terrace.”

Located right across from the QFC at 10000 Homan Road NW, they will have 96 apartments – 56 in independent and assisted living, and 40 in memory care. Amenities include a Sky Lounge on the top floor which has a view of the neighborhood and Mt. Rainier, a theatre for nightly movies, a pub, hair and nail salon, barber shop and spa. There is also have a private dining room, living room to relax in and bistro for morning coffee and reading the local newspaper.

Aegis Greenwood is conducting private tours for interested families. If you are interested in seeing the facility in advance of opening, please call Marketing Director Nina Kral at (206)883-6383 or email her at [email protected]
