Community feedback requested for proposed townhomes at 112th and Greenwood Ave N

by | Feb 16, 2022

Motion Space Architecture + Design is currently in the process of designing seven new 4-story townhouse with on-site parking to replace the existing duplex at 11229 and 11231 Greenwood Ave N. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2023 and once built, 3 front units (on Greenwood Ave N) and 4 rear units (on alley) will be available.

These units will be 4-story units of roughly 1,900 SF.  The 3 units on Greenwood will be 3 bedroom, the 4 units on the alley will be 4 bedroom.  Between 4 and 6 parking spots will be included in the project (pending stormwater design issues).  All the units will have a rooftop deck with views West toward the Olympic Mountains.  The main entries to the front units of Greenwood Ave would be on their Level 2 (with a basement level 1 largely below the street level).  The main entries off the back units would be facing the alley / parking on Level 1, with an additional ‘back’ door from Level 2, accessing the courtyard between the two buildings, for those units.

A comment function is available through a project website, as well as the email address below, for residents of neighborhood to provide feedback which will help us prepare for the City’s Design Review process and other permitting steps. The comments will be anonymous, however the information you share could be made public. Please do not share any personal/sensitive information.  Your suggestions or ideas for the project are welcome, and will be shared with the city planners as part of the project record.

Commenting will be open (meaning comments will be provided to the city planners for consideration) until at least 18 March, 2022. For information about early outreach for design review, visit the Department of Neighborhood’s webpage.
