41st Annual Winter Festival & Crafts Fair – in person! – this weekend

by | Dec 2, 2021

We are pleased to announce that our beloved winter tradition will return in person in both of our buildings and parking lots for year 41! Come see makers that you have grown to love over the years and meet new ones, too. This year, we are spreading out vendors and foregoing indoor food and entertainment to help keep everyone safe. Proof of vaccination and masks will be required for entry for all that are eligible.

100 hand-picked local makers will be throughout the buildings. Enjoy a unique holiday shopping experience in two historic buildings full of specialty goods by local artists and makers, curated by a jury.  You’ll find an amazing array of items: home goods, jewelry and accessories, art, pottery, apparel, gifts for cooks, gifts for your favorite guy, gifts for mom, gifts for kids, gifts for yourself.

Location:

Phinney Center | 6532 Phinney Ave N. 98103 | Directions
Limited free onsite parking. Carpool, bus (#5), Uber/Lyft, etc. is a great idea.

Entry:

$2 PNA members / $4 non-members (cash/check/card) – it’s for a great cause if we do say so ourselves. Children 12 and under are free. A suggested food item for the FamilyWorks Greenwood Food Bank (not required) will be gratefully accepted.

Accessibility:

There will be disabled parking spots in the Upper Blue Building lot and on Dayton Ave N (Brick Building’s accessible entrance)

Blue Building:

  • The elevator entrance for the Blue Building is on the parking lot level, to the right of the playground. Take it to floor 2 to check-in.

Brick Building:

  • Enter through the ground-level door, located at 6615 Dayton Ave N. (Please note the back door with the ramped entrance to the Brick Buiding in the lower parking lot is currently inaccessible.)
  • There will be disabled spots blocked off on Dayton Ave N.

FESTIVAL PASSPORT

Visit all corners of the festival— Blue Building, Brick Building, outdoor vendors too! Get your event passport stamped in at least 5 out of 6 locations and be entered to win one of the many goodie bags with items crafted by some of our amazing makers.

WREATH SALE

Get fresh holiday decorations at  The Phinney Neighborhood Preschool Co-op wreath sale. The wreaths are responsibly grown in Oregon and are a beautiful Pacific Northwest blend of freshly cut noble fir, blue berried juniper, cedar, and natural pinecones. They are $30 each and the proceeds support the preschool and scholarship fund.

CARD ART SALE

Help support Ballard Preschool Co-op with your purchase of fun, vibrant cards made with art created by BPC kids. All proceeds will benefit Ballard Preschool Co-op programs and scholarship funds.

QUILT RAFFLE

Enter to win a one-of-a-kind hand-made quilt crafted by Stash Busters. The quilt raffle is a Winter Festival holiday tradition and proceeds benefit PNA programs. Tickets are $1 or $5 for six and will be available in the Blue Building lobby and in the Phinney Center office before the event. A lucky winner will get to take this work of art home after the raffle at 4 pm on Sunday. You do not have to be present to win.

SHOP FOR COMMUNITY

Not only are you supporting local artisans, but you are also contributing to PNA’s nonprofit programs–such as a hot meal program, the Greenwood Senior Centermemory-loss programming,  kids’ programs, a tool lending library,  as well as numerous community projects, events, and classes.
