As Fall arrives, Bakker’s Fine Dry Cleaning holding sock drive to support local shelters

by | Sep 21, 2021

Socktember is here! Our local toxin-free, Envirostar Award-winning dry cleaner Bakker’s is now collecting new socks to donate to local shelters as the cold weather starts to permeate our community. This is their first drive, so let’s get out and support them! Socks are the most requested item by homeless charities and those living on the street. Socks get grubby real fast and none of us want to have to reuse a dirty pair, yet when rivalled with the high demand, the supply of donated socks has become scarce.

If you don’t have new socks laying about, you can pick them up locally at Fred Meyer or order them to be delivered through Amazon directly to Bakker’s – here is their shopping list. We also highly recommend checking out the funny promo video they shot for this project.

While you’re there, check out Bakker’s great services, prices, and deep commitment to environmentalism.
