Prioritize your mental health at FundaMental Fest, an outdoor festival celebrating wellness this Saturday

by | Sep 16, 2021

This is an all-inclusive, all-ages, community event because mental illness is on the rise, affecting millions, regardless of age, ethnicity, or social standing. In the US, 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness and 1 in 6 youth experience a mental health disorder. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death between the ages of 10 yrs – 34 yrs of age. These statistics are staggering! It’s time to have open conversations, end the stigma, and start supporting each other. Mental health is rooted in community.

If the rain that is in the forecast does materialize, the event will be held indoors, moving to Community Hall in the lower brick building at the PNA.

Featuring: live music, arts, self-care, relaxation rituals, intro classes, stress-relieving and healing practices, raffle prizes, and tasty treats from a curated cast of local makers, artists, healers, spiritual leaders, practitioners, and wellness professionals.
When: Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10 am – 3 pm
Where: Phinney Center, lower level parking lot, 6532 Phinney Ave N. Seattle, WA
Why? September is mental health & suicide prevention month. In observance, this cause-driven event is designed to stop the stigma, raise awareness, raise funds, and share resources for stress, anxiety, depression, suicide prevention, and all types of mental illnesses. Fundraiser proceeds benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Seattle, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Bring your friends and family for this complimentary, not to be missed day of wellness.

We’re honored to welcome an incredible group of wellness professionals (listed below) who will be hosting free workshops and stress-relieving experiences, sampling tasty treats, and self-care rituals, donating raffle prizes, sharing mental health resources, and so much more.
