Seattle ReCreative looking for artists to teach paid workshops

by | Aug 18, 2021

Are you interested in sharing your creative passion? If you have a fun and unusual skill, Seattle ReCreative wants to hear from you!

SRC is a nonprofit organization that collects donations of used materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill from local businesses and individuals to redistribute to our community. SRC is committed to providing artists and craftspersons with opportunities to share and be compensated for their knowledge and expertise, and offer workshops for all ages including adult/teen, children, and family classes.

To have your idea considered, please complete the form located here. Once SRC has received your proposal, they will contact you to confirm receipt and let you know when they will be reviewing proposals and scheduling workshops.

While the majority of their workshops are currently run virtually over Zoom, SRC can facilitate small in-person masked classes for up to 6 students with proof of vaccination at the workshop instructor’s comfort/preference (and subject to current Washington DOH safety guidelines) as they understand some mediums are not suitable/feasible for online education.

For online classes, SRC’s Education Director will setup and welcome attendees to the meeting before introducing and handing over to the instructor for the workshop. Additionally they will offer a brief Zoom introduction and virtual class training if you are new to online methods of instruction.
