The Fixers are back! Bring your fixable items to Greenwood Hardware from 5-7pm tonight

by | Jul 7, 2021

Don’t throw that gadget away! The PNA Fixers Collective is an informal group of folks who meet simply for the fun of taking stuff apart, putting it back together again, and maybe even fixing some things in the process.

The idea is to take a moment before throwing something away to figure out if you can save it and prevent buying a new one. It’s also an excellent way to learn how things work and enjoy some good company. Here’s a little insight into the event from KIRO Radio: Fixers collectives try to change a ‘throw away society’ habit.

Join us on the first Wednesday of every month, 5-7 pm, at Greenwood Hardware. You can bring something broken along with you or just bring yourself. Tonight’s will be in the parking lot, with masks required for non-vaccinated folks.

“Went last night with a broken air filter, rice cooker, and microwave. We got all three fixed and my daughter got to be a part of it. She wants to go back. I just don’t want her to break anything just to go.” -Happy participant from the past
