Lucky Envelope Brewing releases special seasonal beer lineup

by | Mar 11, 2021

A quick plug for our friends down at Lucky Envelope Brewing (907 NW 50th Street), whose owners are Phinney residents and have always been generous contributors to the community. Also, we personally can’t wait for a Yuzu Sour! They have a large outdoor seating area and spacious, distanced tables within for safe pandemic consumption.

Lucky Envelope’s brewing philosophy is centered around “Culturally Inspired Beer” whose recipes draw from modern and historic brewing styles and techniques. In addition, Lucky Envelope also uses both traditional and non-traditional ingredients in our beers which range from traditional IPAs, to German-style lagers, to seasonal favorites like a Two Pepper (Habanero & Shishito) Pale Ale and Peanut Butter Cream Stout.

CURRENT SEASONAL BEER OFFERINGS

Beer: Westland Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Porter (11.2% ABV)
Availability: Currently Available on Draft and in Single 16oz Crowlers ($12)
Description: This boozy Imperial Porter was aged in Westland Whiskey Barrels and blended together to balance the flavors. The resulting blend of Barrels 16 & 17 has huge notes of cocoa, sweet booziness, oak, and vanilla.

Beer: L.E. Lite American Pilsner (4.4% ABV)
Availability: Currently Available on Draft and 4-Pack Cans ($14)
Description: In the spirit of fine American pilsner beer, this built-to-crush lager is triple-hopped just like the macros but brewed with an all-malt grist that lends notes of crackers and fresh bread, finishing with a touch of sweetness.

UPCOMING SEASONAL BEER OFFERINGS

Beer: Honey Cinnamon Cream Stout (7.2% ABV)
Availability: Friday, March 19th Release on Draft and 4-Pack Cans ($17)
Description: We partnered with Seattle’s Mr. B’s Meadery to create a rich, roasty Cream Stout brewed with sweet Saigon cinnamon and over 10lbs per barrel of floral, softly spicy raspberry honey locally sourced from Lakewood, WA’s Robbins Honey Farm. This beer has notes reminiscent of honeyed toast on the nose with tangy honey and creamy roast flavors accented by gently warm cinnamon.

Beer: Yuzu Mimo-Sour (7.2% ABV)
Availability: Friday, March 19th Release on Draft and in Single 16oz Crowlers ($7)
Description: Enjoy our newest experimental sour brewed with the gently floral Japanese citrus fruit, yuzu. Special enzymes leave virtually no residual sugar resulting in a dry and champagne-like beer reminiscent of brunch’s favorite drink, the mimosa.
